Another Cracking Win For Warwickshire

Warwickshire County Cricket Club pulled off a cracking 88 run victory over Worcestershire at New Road.

Warwicks resumed with Varun Chopra adding five runs to his over night total of 223 before he was caught by Solanki off the bowling of Richardson.

Warwicks were on 420-4 but in the space of the space of eight runs they lost the wickets of Troughton, Clarke, Woakes and Johnson before declaring on 461/8.

Worcestershire needed 288 to win but were not allowed to settle. Chris Woakes took the first three wickets and although Alexei Kervezee made 65, Woakes took another three wickets to give himself figures of 6-49.

Ant Botha took two wickets and when Rankine had Cox caught by Botha, Worcestershire were all out for 199 and Warwickshire were winners by 88 runs.
