A Champagne Moment For Maximiliano Richeze

Maximiliano Richeze of Etixx Quick Step has won the fourth stage of the Tour De Suisse.

Peter Sagan's two stage wins had moved him into the leader's jersey for this 193km stage from Rheinfelden to Champagne.

Irishman Matthew Brammeier (Dimension Data) and Jérémy Maison (FDJ) were away as soon as the flag dropped and joined by Lukas Jaun (Team Roth) and Nick Vander Lijke (Roompot).

After twenty five kilometres, they were more than three minutes ahead and stayed clear until the final four kilometres thanks to good work from Etixx Quick Step and Tinkoff.

Etixx Quick Step sent Maximiliano Richeze to lead out Fernando Gavira but Richeze had the legs to take the win in 5.08.21 with the race leader bringing home the peloton two seconds later.

Peter Sagan continues to lead the race.
