Ian Bell made 84 for England on the second day of the test match against Bangladesh at the Zohur Ahmed Chowhury Stadium in Chittagong.

With Kevin Pietersen making 99 yesterday after Warwickshire's Jon Trott had been out for 39, Alistair Cook and Paul Collingwood were also in cracking form with the bat.

Cook hit 173 including 14 fours and two sixes whilst Collingwood made 145 before Bell was out for 84 to leave England on 599-6, a total on which they declared.

When Bangladesh batted, they came up against Stuart Broad who took two wickets and Graeme Swann who took three wickets in 39 overs to see the home side 154-5 at the close.
