Wiggins Win Criterium Time Trial

Bradley Wiggins won the Time Trial at the Criterium Du Dauphine this afternoon.

This was a long time trial for the riders of 53kms from Villié-Morgon to Bourg-en-Bresse and saw Prologue winner Luke Durbridge again setting the time to beat.

Kelderman took the lead bt finishing some 12 seconds quicker than Durbridge, after Andy Schleck had crashed.

World Time Trial Champion Tony Martin then set a new fastest time of  1:03:46 as the spectators on the route watched Cadel Evans and Bradley Wiggins come past them.

Only a second seperated the two with Wiggins in the lead and after Evans had come in eighth fastest, eight seconds quicker than David Millar but slower than Chris Froome, Wiggins,who again had rode superbly, flew home in a time of 1:03:12 to win the stage.

Wiggins extends his lead to 38 seconds over Tony Martin whilst Evans drops back to fifth.
