Wickets Tumble At Edgbaston

Wickets tumbled on the second day of Warwickshire County Cricket Club's County Championship match with Somerset at Edgbaston.

Warwicks resumed on 27-2 but lost Trott for 13, Hain for 12, Ambrose for 3 and Ian Bell for seven before Varun Chopra was out having top-scored with 56.

The Overton's, Gregory and Allenby continnued to take wickets with Clarke going for twelve, Barker for a duck and Chris Woakes for 22, to see Warwicks all out for 152, some 143 runs short of Somerset's first innings score.

Somerset came in and lost Abell for 2, Trescothwick for 14, Hildreth for a golden duck, Allenby for 17, Rogers for 16, Gregory for 9 and Davies for 12 with Boyd Rankin taking three wickets and two each for Keith Barker and Chris Woakes.

Jeetan Patal removed Peter Trego who top-scored with 51, Woakes removed C.Overton and Clarke had Leach caught by Tim Ambrose to see Somerset all out for 178.

Needing 322 to win, Warwicks were 4-0 at stumps.
