Bradley White of UnitedHeatlhCare won the fifth stage of the Tour of Langkawi in Malaysia.

Six riders in Romero (Colombia), Taliani (Androni), Meintjes (Mtn), White (Uhc), Rabou (Ocbc) and Asadov (Baku) were the first to attack on this 139.9km stage from Karak to Rembau and got away after ten kilometres of racing.

After thirty five kilometres, this group of six had split into two groups of three with Meintjes, White and Rabou in the lead, some 4.30 ahead of the peloton which included race leader Mirsamd Pourseyedigolakhour and King Of The Mountains and leader Matt Brammier of the Synergy Baku team.

With a lead of 5.50, Rabou took the second sprint of the day after 82 kilometres and then the third sprint after 96 kilometres.

The gap dropped to 1.40 with four kilometres to go and that was enough to ensure that the peloton did not catch them and Bradley White was able to ride away to victory and win in a sprint ahead of Thomas Rabou (OCBC Singapore), with Louis Meintjes of MTN-Qhubeka.

Mirsamd Pourseyedigolakhour keeps his leader's jersey going into stage six.
