Warwicks Take The Lead

Warwickshire County Cricket Club took the lead over Worcestershire in their County Championship match at Edgbaston after bowling the visitors for 149.

Warwicks resumed on 258-8 but eight runs later they were all out. So Worcestershire batted and had Dan Mitchell run out for one run with only two on the board.

Chris Wright came in and removed Ali and Oliver before Keith Barker bowled Gidman for a duck and had Kervezee caught to see Worcestershire on 49-5.

Wright and Barker both took their third wickets and Ricky Clarke had Cox out after he scored forty five before the tail was mopped up and Worcestershire were all out for 149.

Although Westwood went for twelve and Porterfield for four, Varun Chopra was unbeaten on 72 as Warwicks ended the day on 105-4, some 220 runs ahead.
