Warwickshire County Cricket Club have set Nottinghamshire 227 to win after the third day's play at Trent Bridge.

Notts resumed this County Championship game on 316-7 and were soon all out for 383 when Laurie Evans caught Brett Hutton who had made 59, Jeetan Patal caught by Bird who had made nine and Ricky Clarke took his fourth wicket when he finished off the innings by bowling Fletcher for 29.

That saw Warwickshire only ten runs behind from the first innings and after losing Ian Westwood for a single, Varun Chopra and Jonathan Trott worked together.

The pair put on 102 runs before Trott was bowled by Patel after making 59 and Laurie Evans went for four and Sam Hain for nine.

Varun Chopra had shown some neat stuff but went for 82 from 115 balls leaving Warwicks on 180-5.

That started a collapse as the next five wickets Ambrose, Clarke, Barker, Patal and Wright added only thirty six runs with Chris Woakes unbeaten on twenty and Warwicks all out for 236.

Nottinghamshire went in to bat needing 227 to win but they could not stop Keith Barker from taking the wicket of Steve Mullaney for a duck and Michael Lumb for eight.

Chris Woakes came in to take the wicket of Luke Fletcher for four, again caught by Chopra before a day when sixteen wickets fell ended with Notts on 21-3.
