Warwicks Set 379 To Win

Warwickshire County Cricket Club were set 379 to won on the third day of their County Championship game against Hampshire at Edgbaston.

Hants resumed on 39-1 and added another nineteen runs before Ricky Clarke struck to remove Dawson who had made 27 and Vince without scoring.

Jeetan Patal came in and had Smith caught behind by Tim Ambrose and the Skipper Wheater caught for eleven by Clarke, whilst at the other end, Michael Carberry moved the score on, by making a half century.

Hants were 158 ahead at lunch and in the second session, Ricky Clarke finally got Carberry out after he had made 81.

Hants did not lose any more wickets and at tea were 246-6.

Barker had Berg caught by Porterfield for 36 and Chris Wright came in to take two wickets to bowl Hants out for 280 and leave Warwickshire 379 runs to get on the final day.
