Warwickshire Seconds were beaten by seven runs by Lancashire in their first of two T20 games at Walmley CC.

Lancs batted first and had Livingstone make 52 and Jones an unbeaten 37 as they made 183-5 from their twenty overs.

Warwicks had made 23-1 with Will Porterfield out for eight when the rain came down and the players went off.

When play recommenced, Webb went for twelve and Lewis for 44 but Freddie Coleman was in good form and passed the fifty mark for a Warwicks side who needed 34 runs off 3.4 overs.

Nine runs came off the first seven balls from Coleman and Thomason and with two overs to go, Warwicks needed twenty to win.

Coleman was out caught by Livingstone for 66, leaving Warwicks twelve to win from the final over.

Thomason lost his wicket after making 38 when he was bowled by Buck and with only five runs coming from the over, Warwicks went down to a seven runs defeat.
