Warwicks Lose In Nottingham

Warwickshire County Cricket Club were beaten by 36 runs at Nottinghamshire in a Royal London Cup tie.

Notts batted first and made 415-5 from their fifty overs with Michael Lumb hitting 133 from 108 bals, Daniel Christian hitting 94 from 47 balls with 76 for Riki Wessels and 73 for Greg Smith with Taylor adding four and Patal 17.

Warwicks batted and lost Will Porterfield for 12 and Sam Hain for 69 and with twenty overs remaining, they still needed over two hundred runs to win.

Ian Bell made 60 before being bowled by Mullaney, a wicket which was quickly followed by Laurie Evans being bowled for one.

Jon Trott made a century but he was caught by Sam Ward and Warwicks were 256-5.

Rikki Clarke went for six before Tim Ambrose was caught by Fletcher after making 73.

Jeetan Patal went without scoring and in the 47th over, Ateeq Javid was out for twenty with Warwicks needing sixty runs from fifteen balls.

Jones went for 26 and Warwicks were beaten by 36 runs.
