Warwicks Lose By A Wicket

Warwickshire County Cricket Club went down to a one wicket defeat      in their County Championship match against Sussex.

At Hove, Warwicks resumed on 180-7 and added twelve more runs before Ricky Clarke was caught by Finch.

Seven runs later and Magoffin bowled Ian Westwood for two and when Boyd Rankin was out for a duck, Warwicks were all out for 200.

That left Sussex 190 to win on a pitch which which has seen twenty seven wickets fall in the first two days.

Chris Wright had Nash caught for two and then Wells for 19 before he bowled Finch for one.

Ricky Clarke got in on the act, having Ed Joyce trapped lbw for 13 and Luke Wright caught by Jeetan Patal to see Sussex on 45-5.

Patal had Craig Cachopa caught for twenty but Brown at the other end was starting to hit runs and made fifty from 46 balls in seventy minutes with five fours and a six. 

Rankin had Brown out for 53 leaving Sussex on 153-7.

Chris Jordan was making runs but Rankin had Robinson out for eight and Magoffin out for a duck.

However, Chris Jordan who finished unbeaten on 56 had done enough and Warwicks went down to a one wicket defeat.
