Warwicks Draw With Durham MCCU

Warwickshire County Cricket Club bowled out Durham MCC University and then spent the rest of the day batting on the third day of their match at Edgbaston as the game finished in a draw.

Warwicks had Sunny Singh replacing Chris Wright for the day and they bowled Durham out for 220 after they had resumed on 191-7.

MacDonnell had been the mainstay of the Durham innings and was 114 not out at the start of play. He added twenty two more runs before being bowled by Ricky Clarke for 136 from 239 balls including twenty four fours, after Josh Poysden had taken the wickets of Phillips for nine and Bose without scoring.

That gave Warwickshire a lead of 333 from the first innings and soon added 102 more runs from 97 balls with Tim Ambrose hitting fifty five and Ricky Clarke 43.

Ambrose went for 81 from 66 balls bowled by Steel, with Ricky Clarke making 102 before being caught by Williams.

Tom Milnes could only add two runs before he was out to Bishnoi and four balls later, Laurie Evans was out after making 31 when he was caught by Steel.

At Tea, Warwicks were 617 runs ahead as Will Porterfield and Sam Hain had moved the score on to 284-4.

Porterfield went for 93 and Hain finished unbeaten on 96 as the game finished in a draw with Warwicks on 414-5.
