Warwickshire Cricket County Club beat Surrey by 111 runs under Duckworth/Lewis in a Royal London Cup tie.

Warwicks batted first at Edgbaston and made 218-2 in 33 overs before the rain intervened.

Varun Chopra had been the mainstay of the Warwickshire innings with an unbeaten 92, having lost Will Porterfield who made 36 and Jon Trott who made 31 with Laurie Evans making an unbeaten 43.

The rain meant that the game was now played under Duckworth/Lewis with Surrey set 265 to win in 33 overs.

Jeetan Patal was in great form taking 4-30 as only Steven Davies made 37 and Tilakaratne Dilshan top scored with 58.
