Warwickshire County Cricket Club beat Somerset by seven wickets on the final day of their County Championship game at Edgbaston.

Warwicks needed 65 more runs to win but only added to more runs to their overnight tally of 6-0 when Varun Chopra was caught by Allenby.

Ian Westwood and Laurie Evans came together and Westwood passed the 8500 run mark for Warwicks, before he was caught by Trescothwick to give Allenby a wicket after making sixteen runs.

Warwicks now needed another 36 runs with eight wickets in hand and that was seven when Jon Trott was out after only seven balls without scoring.

Evans and Sam Hain steered Warwicks through without further loss to take a seven wicket win.
