Angel Vicisio is delighted to be back winning races.

The 37 year old Spaniard took the victory in the GP Premio Miguel Indurain, ten months after crashing in the Giro D'Italia and suffering a complex threefold right femur fracture.

The Katusha rider told his team's website: "I am so happy! Especially after my crash last year, which I thought would end my career.

"Also, I am happy with this victory, because I really like this route. I take part in this race for the fourth time in a row and I was always good here.

"Today I was lucky and my family was here to support me. I am happy I was able to win in front of their eyes.

"The race was hard, we had to fight against a strong Movistar team. They were very active with a number of attacks, but Katusha also was there. Claudio Cozzi directed us so well.

"For me this is my first victory in four years, my debut win for Team Katusha, and I am really happy to bring it to my team!"
