Van Genechten Wins Tour de l'Eurométropole Stage Two

Jonas Van Genechten taken victory on stage two of the 75th Tour de l'Eurométropole race in Belgium.

Roubaix was the setting for the depart of a 192km stage to Poperinge which featured eleven climbs. 

A break formed straight away with six riders in Wallays, Laborie, Slik, Petit, Bouvry & Habea taking a lead over the peloton which included race leader Alexis Gougeard.

That lead went out to 4.13 after forty kilometres but was only 2.40 with 26kms to go.

The peloton chased the group and they were twenty seconds ahead going into the last five kilometres.

Three kilometres later and the break was caught and Jonas Van Genechten took the win ahead of Jurgen Roelandts,
