Unbeaten Tons For Trott & Hains

There were unbeaten centuries for Jonathan Trott and Sam Hains as Warwicks piled on the runs at Edgbaston against Northamptonshire.

Warwicks resumed on the second day on 79-1 after bowling the visitors all out for 273 and added fifteen runs before Varun Chopra who has passed the fifty mark was caught behind by Rossington.

With Chopra out for 53, Will Porterfield batted on with Jonathan Trott. Porterfield moved his total on to 46 when James Middlebrook had him trapped lbw.

That left Warwicks on 142-3 and in came Sam Hain to work with Trott. The pair batted superbly with Trott hitting seventeen fours in an unbeaten innings of 128 along with Hain who hit twenty fours and a six in an unbeaten knock of 148, which had seen the pair put on 271 runs for the fourth wicket as Warwicks ended the day on 413-3 claiming maximum batting points.
