Lampre's Diego Ullisi won the GP Camaiore one day race in Italy.

Team Sky fielded a reasonably strong team for this 186km race in the Tuscan coastal town of Camaiore, .with Berni Eisel, Luke Rowe and Josh Edmondson amongst the starters but it was Jonny Hoogerland, who now rides for Androni who got away with Colli, Donato & Giorni after sixty kilometres.

With eighty five kilometres remaining, their lead was 7.25 but good work from the peloton had them only two minutes clear with thirty six kilometres remaining when Colli and Hoogerland decided to go it alone.

With the peloton split into two groups, Colli and Hoogerland had a lead of 47 seconds on the first group and a minute on the second going into the last one of five 23.9kms circuits with each taking in the Salita di Monte Pitoro climb.

Lampre led the chase and stormed past the two escapers with fourteen kilometres left.

On the final climb, Astana's Vincenzo Nibali along with Arredondo, Villella and Pirazzi attacked but were soon caught and Lampre's Diego Ullissi, Matteo Montaguti (AG2R) and Julian Arredondo (Trek Factory Racing) were the first to the summit.

They were not to be caught and Ullisi won in 4.18.37 ahead of Matteo Montaguti (Ag2r-La Mondiale) into second and Julian Arredondo (Trek Factory Racing) followed by Simon Clarke, Colbrelli, Felline, Keukeleire, Puccio, Finetto and Gavazzi.

Simon Yates was the highest British finisher. The Orica Green Edge rider finished 26th.
