UCI Confirm Lance Armstrong Ban

Cycling governing body the UCI have upheld the decision by United States Anti Doping Association to ban Lance Armstrong.

The American who had given up contesting the action against him, has been banned for life and stripped of his seven Tour de France titles. 

UCI President Pat McQuaid has also confirmed the body was ratifying the sanctions already imposed by USADA.
