Two Brits In Tour de l'Avenir First Stage Finish

Great Britain has two riders in the top eight of the first stage of the 51st Tour de l'Avenir.

This stage race for national teams saw  Owain Doull, Scott Davies, Tao Geoghegan Hart, Danny McLay, Danny Pearson and Jake Kelly compete for Great Britain in the first stage which was 145kms long and from Saint-Flour to Brioude in France, against teams from nineteen other nations and one World Cycling Centre team.

Daniel McLay finished fifth and Owain Doull was eight, some 2.21 behind the winner Kristoffer Skjerping of Norway who won in a time of 3.37.11.

Holland's Sjoerd Van Ginneken was second and Asbjørn Kragh Andersen of Denmark third.
