Tour De France 2014 Starting Route Unveiled

The initial starting route for the 2014 Tour De France has been unveiled.

The race will start in Leeds on July 5th and make its way to Harrogate for the first finish.

The second stage from York to Sheffield will be a lot more testing with eight climbs and six in the final sixty kilometres as the race heads into Sheffield. 

A transfer to Cambridge and stage three will take the world's greatest cycle race from the university city to London.

Stage one - Saturday, 5 July

Leeds - Harewood - Otley - Ilkley - Skipton - Kettlewell - Aysgarth - Hawes - Reeth - Leyburn - Ripon - Harrogate

Stage two - Sunday, 6 July

York - Knaresborough - Silsden - Keighley - Haworth - Hebden Bridge - Elland - Huddersfield - Holmfirth - Sheffield

Stage three - Monday, 7 July

Cambridge - Epping Forest - the Olympic Park - the Mall
