Tony Martin won the second stage of the Tour of Beijing in China this morning.
Mathias Frank (BMC Racing Team), Juan Manuel Garate (Rabobank), David Tanner (Saxo Bank-Tinkoff Bank), Ivan Gutierrez (Movistar) and Maxim Belkov (Katusha) were the escapers on the stage from Bird’s Nest Piazza to Men Tou Gou Yong Ding River Cultural Square.
Their lead of 3.40 was whittled away and Martin (picture below)went on a solo ride to take victory in a time of 2.37.49.
ireland's Dan Martin was sixth and now wears the King Of The Mountains jersey, whilst Tony Martin leads the race.
