Great Britain has entered three riders into the World Championships Mens Road Race.

The race which sees riders without radios riding for their countries rather than their teams, goes from Melbourne to Geelong in Australia next Sunday and will see Mark Cavendish, David Millar and Jeremy Hunt (all pictured below) competing for Great Britain.

British Champion Geraint Thomas was due to have been in the team but he withdrew citing fatigue.

Today, in Ballarat, some of the riders who will compete in the World Championships warmed up in the Herald Sun World Cycling Classic.

Italian Filippo Pozzato took the 130km race victory with Fabian Cancellera in fourth.
