Omega Pharma Quick Step's Nicky Terpstra won the Tour Of Qatar with Arnaud Demare of FDJ taking the victory on the final stage.

Nicky Terpstra of Omega Pharma Quick Step went in to the final 113.5km stage from Sealine Beach Resort to Doha Corniche, looking to defend his seventeen second lead from team mate Tom Boonen and allowed Allessandro Bazzana of UnitedHealthCare, Marcus Burghardt of BMC, Astana's Lieuwe Westra, Jesse Sergent of Trek and Rafai Chtioui of SkyDrive Dubai to establish the first break of the day.

Chtioui took the first sprint of the day ahead of Sergent and Westra as the five riders maintained a lead of around 1.13 with 45kms to go.

The five stayed away despite the efforts of Katusha and were still ahead until the final kilometre when Bazzana attacked.
