Ten Wicket Win For Warwicks

Warwickshire County Cricket won their final CB40 game by ten wickets against the Unicorns.

At the Sir Paul Getty Ground in Wormsley,Buckinghamshire, the Unicorns who are a side set up by the ECB to compete in forty overs matches and made up of players not contracted to county sides, batted first.

They were soon in trouble. Chris Woakes bowled Tripathi for the only run on the board before Chris Wright bowled Radlan in the next over for two.

Woakes then struck three times, removing New, Ord and Parsons to see the Unicorns on 12-5.

Reece and Wooley were removed as Unicorns moved on to 45-7. Hill and Querl put on 64 before Hill was caught off the bowling of Wright for 35.

Querl who had made 44 went soon after to Ian Blackwell and Leven and Hindmarch bravely continued before Hindmarch was run out off the bowling of Wright after making fifty to see The Unicorns all out for 185 in 38.5 overs.

Will Porterfield and Varun Chopra opened the batting for Warwickshire. Porterfield smashed sixteen fours as he completed his century. Chopra hit the same amount of fours in an unbeaten 76 and with thirteen extras, Warwicks won by ten wickets with 64 balls remaining.
