Teams Start To Name Their Tour De France Line Ups

Some of the twenty two teams, who will compete in the 98th Tour De France which starts in Vendee on Saturday July 2nd, have started to announce their line-ups for the epic three week race.

Brit David Millar is in the Garmin-Cervelo team but In-form Irishman Danny Martin has been left out.

Basque side Euskatel Euskadi have named Sammy Sanchez as their main man and he will be supported by Gorka Izagirre, Alan Pérez, Rubén Pérez, Pablo Urtasun, Egoi Martínez, Amets Txurruka and Gorka Verdugo.

Liquigas Cannondale have named the following team that includes top riders Ivan Basso and Daniel Oss. They will be assisted by Alessandro Vanotti, Paolo Longo Borghini, Fabio Sabatini, Sylvester Szmyd, Maciej Bodnar, Maciej Paterski and Kristijan Koren.

Astana go with Alexandre Vinokourov, Rémy Di Gregorio, Dmitriy Fofonov, Andriy Grivko, Maxim Iglinskiy, Roman Kreuziger,  Paolo Tiralongo, Tomas Vaitkus and Andrey Zeits.

Alberto Contador leads the Saxo Bank Sungard team which comprises of Jesus Hernandez, Dani Navarro, Benjamin Noval, Richie Porte,  Chris Anker Sørensen, Nicki Sørensen, Matteo Tosatto and Brian Vandborg.

Team Radio Shack go with Jani Brajkovic, Chris Horner, Markel Irizar, Andreas Klöden, Levi Leipheimer, Dmitriy Muravyev, Sérgio Paulinho
Yaroslav Popovych and Haimar Zubeldia.

BMC line up with Brent Bookwalter, Marcus Burghardt, Cadel Evans, George Hincapie, Amael Moinard, Steve Morabito, Ivan Santaromita,
Manuel Quinziato and Michael Schar.

Omega Pharma Lotto's nine man team is Philippe Gilbert, Andre Greipel, Sebastian Lang, Jurgen Roelandts, Marcel Sieberg, Jurgen Van den Broeck, Jurgen Van de Walle, Jelle Vanendert and Frederik Willems.

Quick Step go with Tom Boonen, Sylvain Chavanel, Gerald Ciolek,
Kevin De Weert, Dries Devenyns, Addy Engels, Jerome Pineau,
Gert Steegmans and Niki Terpstra.

Rabbobank's team is Carlos Barredo, Lars Boom, Juan Manuel Garate, Robert Gesink, Bauke Mollema, Grischa Niermann, Laurens Ten Dam, Maarten Tjallingii and Luis Leon Sanchez. 

Team Europcar's team is Anthony Charteau, Cyril Gautier, Yohann Gène, Vincent Jérôme, Christophe Kern, Perrig Quémeneur, Pierre Rolland, Sébastien Turgot who will be led by Thomas Voeckler.

Lampre's team list is Leonardo Bertagnolli, Grega Bole, Matteo Bono, Damiano Cunego, Danilo Hondo, Denis Kostyuk, David Loosli, Adriano Malori and Alessandro Petacchi.

AG2R La Mondiale team is Maxime Bouet, Hubert Dupont, John Gadret, Sébastien Hinault, Blel Kadri, Sébastien Minard, Jean-Christophe Peraud, Scrap Christophe, Nicolas Roche (Ireland)

Saur Sojasun: Jérôme Coppel, Anthony Delaplace, Jimmy Engoulvent, Arnaud Coyot, Jérémy Galland, Jonathan Hivert, Fabrice Jeandesboz, Laurent Mangel and Yannick Talabardon

 

Team Sky who include Bradley Wiggins, Geraint Thomas and Ben Swift may be without Edvald Boasson-Hagen who has developed shingles and may miss the tour.
