As expected, Team Sky featuring Sir Bradley Wiggins, won Stage 1b of the Giro Del Trentino, the Team Time Trial.
This warm up for the first Grand Tour of the year - The Giro D'Italia, started with two stages on the opening day.
The first was a 128.5km stage around Lienz, which was won by AG2R's Maxime Bouet, with the second a team time trial also around Lienz of 14.1kms.
Team Sky put in a well drilled performance to be fastest at the intermediate check point and the finish line to win a time of 15.20, beating Astana by 13 seconds and Lampre by sixteen seconds.

Josef Cerny of the CCC Polsat-Polkowice team now leads the race going into Day Two, some eleven seconds ahead of Maxime Bouet.
