Team Sky Make UCI World Tour Cut

Team Sky are one of fifteen cycling team to have made the cut for the 2013  UCI World Tour

The British team are one of fifteen who have passed the initial criteria tests set by the UC1 and now must wait until December 10 when the UCI  announces the registration of the UCI ProTeams with a valid 2013 UCI WorldTour licence which have met the four criteria (sporting, ethical, financial and administrative). 

AG2R La Mondiale, Astana Pro Team, BMC Racing Team, Cannondale
Euskaltel – Euskadi, Former Rabobank, Garmin Sharp, Katusha, Lampre – Merida, Movistar Team, Omega Pharma – Quick-Step Cycling Team
Orica GreenEdge, RadioShack Nissan, Sky Procycling, Vacansoleil – DCM Pro Cycling Team, have all passed the first cut.

However, Team Argos – Shimano, Lotto Belisol, FDJ, Team Europcar and  Team Saxo – Tinkoff which will have Nicholas Roche and Alberto Contador riding for them next season, are all vying for three remaining places on the world tour.
