Team GB Mens Olympic Cycling Team Announced

Great Britain have announced their London 2012 Olympic Road Road mens team.

Five riders will compete in the race on July 28th from the following: David Millar, Steve Cummings, Chris Froome, Jeremy Hunt, Ian Stannard, Ben Swift, Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish.

Apart from Millar who is now able to compete following the decision to permit those who have served bans for alleged drug use who rides for Garmin-Barracuda and Steve Cummings who now rides for BMC, the other six riders all ride for Team Sky who are managed by GB Cycling Team Boss David Brailsford (pictured below).

Two of the eight named will then compete in the Time Trial.

Road (women - four will take part) - Lizzie Armitstead, Katie Colclough, Nicole Cooke, Sharon Laws, Lucy Martin, Emma Pooley.

Track (sprint men) - Philip Hindes, Sir Chris Hoy, Jason Kenny.

Track (endurance men) - Steven Burke, Ed Clancy,  Peter Kennaught, Andrew Tennant, Geraint Thomas.

Track (sprint women) - Victoria Pendleton, Jessica Varnish

Track (endurance women) - Wendy Houvenaghel, Danielle King, Joanna Rowsell, Laura Trott.

BMX (men) - Liam Phillips

BMX (women) - Shanaze Reade

Mountain bike (men) - Liam Killeen

Mountain bike (women) - Annie Last
