Omega Pharma Quick Step's Zdenek Stybar won the third stage of the Eneco Tour.

The race moved into The Netherlands, without Team Sky's Ben Swift who had shoulder injury, with a 187km stage from Oosterhout to Brouwersdam and saw four riders take a six minute lead before the peloton with race leader Arnaud Demare in a good position, pegged them back to ninety seconds with 73kilometres to go.

On a sunny but windy day, the peloton split as they chased after Alex Rasmussen of Garmin Sharp, who had taken the sprint points, AG2R's Axel Domont, Movistar's Eloy Rovira and Topsport's Jelle Wellays.

The quartet were first onto the two finishing circuits of 34.4kms, 45 seconds ahead of the first group and 1.20 ahead of a second group containing Team Sky's Bradley Wiggins.

Out onto the coastal road and the gap dropped to 25 seconds, so with 53kms to go, Topsport's Jelle Wellays went off on his own, chased by team mate Laurens De Vreese, the black jersey wearer, who caught him and took the points at the Primus Checkpoint with 50kms to go.

Six kilometres later and the peloton were held up by a tractor and trailor that went down the same road as the riders before pulling off into a field.

De Vrees took the three points on the sprint just as the bell lap started and it was Lotto Bellisol's Andre Greipel who took the final available point.

Further up the road and De Vrees let Wellays go on his own.   The Topsport rider stayed away until the sixteen kilometres to go mark, taking the final checkpoint, before he was swept up and the pace of the big teams at the front of the peloton went up.

Inside the final kilometres and a group of fivers riders were in front and it was Omega Pharma Quick Step's Zdenek Stybar who won in a time of 4.13.59 beating Maximiliano Richeze of Lampre, who had led out the sprint, Lars Boom of Belkin, Giacomo Nizzolo of RadioShack and 5 André Greipel.

Arnaud Demare keeps his leaders jersey whilst De Vrees keeps the sprints jersey.
