Storm Lose To Buxton

Coventry Storm were beaten 45-44 by Buxton at Brandon tonight.

The Storm had a 3-3 in the opening heat but went down to a 4-2 loss in the second.

Liam Carr and Ryan Terry-Daley rode to a 5-1 in the third heat but Buxton came back with a 5-2 and 4-2 to take a 17-13 lead after five heats.

Heat six finished in a 3-3 but Martin Knuckey fell in heat seven and was excluded as Buxton took a 5-1 anf Knuckey took no more part in the meeting which saw The Storm take the next to heats 4-2.

After the interval, Danny Ayres, who was guesting ,rode to a 5-1 for the Storm but Buxton took a 4-2.

Terry-Daley won in a 3-3 and in heat thirteen, the scores were level when Ayres won in a 4-2.

Carr developed engine failure in heat fourteen with the Storm on a 5-1 and Hopwood fell with meant a 3-2 win for the Storm who allowed Buxton to take a 4-2 win in the final heat which meant they lost by a point.
