Storm Lose At Cradley

Coventry Storm speedway team were beaten 52-38 at Cradley on Monday night.

Ashley Morris set a new track record in the opening heat which finished in a 3-3 and was followed by an awarded 4-2 to Cradley in the second heat.

Dan Greenwood and Martin Knuckey took a 5-1 but Cradley came back with a 4-2 and after a 3-3, a 5-1 followed by six more 3-3's.

After heat twelve, the Storm were only four points down but heat thirteen saw a 5-1 to Cradley who had a 4-2 and a 5-1 win in the final heat to send the Storm to a defeat.

Boss Laurence Rogers said to the Bees website: “I’m proud of the boys tonight, they battled hard and the result doesn’t justify their efforts, being without Liam and Jamie (Halder).

“It was a good team performance with a great spirit amongst them. Everyone chipped in with what they needed to do, and we have to take that on to Mildenhall on Sunday now.”
