Coventry Storm Speedway Team take on Birmingham tonight at Brandon in a National League fixture (Tapes up at 7.30pm)
The Storm are using rider replacement for Luke Crang and have appointed Dan Greenwood as captain.
Greenwood will also defend the Bronze Helmet against a nominated Brummies challenger, whilst lower down the order there is a home debut for Jamie Halder.
Manager Laurence Rogers said: “We know this is going to be a tough one for our first home league match, so our boys have to get acquainted with their home track!
“We are considering our options of covering for Crangy’s absence, but having spent many hours on this as yet we have not found a solution.
“Dan, who is on blistering form this year and is now our official team captain, is already doing a top class job and assisting in trying to find a rider to cover for Crangy.”
Supporters are reminded that admission is just £10, with all children free of charge, and due to back-to-back Grand Prix weekends the next Elite League action at Brandon is not until July 31 when the Buildbase Bees host King’s Lynn.
