Second Place Sees Millar Second

David Millar finished second in the Critérium du Dauphiné's 49km individual time trial today and moved up to second in the General Classification.



The Scot who rides for Garmin, put in an excellent ride in the third atage from Monteux to Sorgues, but was twenty six seconds behind winner Janez Brajkovic from Team Radioshack, who now leads the General Classification.

Team Sky's Geraint Thomas finished seventh and dropped to fifth in the GC.

According to his team boss, Mark Cavenish's form is improving. Speaking to his team's press office, HTC Colombia's Rolf Aldagm said about Cavendish who will enter the Tour de Suisse which starts this Saturday in Lugano: "Mark is getting better and better, and I saw that for myself when I went training with him and the rest of the team in the Alps recently. I'm confident he'll do well in Suisse, and I'm confident he'll do well in the Tour."
