Draft Local Plan.
No mention is made of Coventry Stadium or its development as a housing site.
b) Strategic Housing Land availability Assessment and Conclusions
Coventry Stadium conclusion: "Intention to develop however site currently used for Coventry Bees Speedway Stadium. Ongoing lease arrangements of sports use and need for relocation is constraint to availability of site for development".
c) Sites not suitable or not available
"S16044 Brandon Stadium, Rugby Road Currently not available due to sports stadia use and existing lease arrangements."
d) Binley Woods Consultation event: Thursday 13 October - Binley Woods Village Hall, Rugby Road, Binley Woods (7.30pm-). There are other consultation meetings in advance of this - see the Rugby BC website for details.
As a campaign group we will be making representations on this consultation, building upon those at the previous stage. We will make these available following submission. If you have any comments that you wish us to take into account please send them through.
It seems likely that we will also be asking Speedway and Stox fans to submit their own representations in due course and we will produce a note showing how you can easily do this as well as supporting the extensive representations we will be making.
