Sammy Sanchez win the penultimate stage of the Volta A Catalunya on Saturday afternoon.
A 169.4km stage from Sant Fruitós to Badalona Centre Comercial saw the Olympic Champion attack in the final kilometre to win in a time of 4;04.50.
Ireland's Dan Martin was eighth but dropped to fourth in the General Classification behind race leader Michael Albasini, Euskatel's Samuel Sanchez and Lotto's Jurgen Van Den Broeck.
