Sam Robson Hammers Warwicks

Sam Robson hammered Warwickshire County Cricket Club on the opening day of the County Championship game between Middlesex and Warwicks at Lords.

Warwicks elected to field first but could not stop Sam Robson and Nick Gubbins putting on 180 before Chris Wright had Gubbins caught for 68 by Ricky Clarke.

In the next ball, Wright had Nick Compton caught by Sam Hain but Robson went on to make a century from 158 balls including sixteen fours, whilst at the other end, Keith Barker bowled Malan for 15 and Voges for 21.

Robson continued on his way and was unbeaten on 175 from 280 balls with Simpson at the other end on 31 not out and Middlesex on 317-4.
