Coventry Blaze Head Coach Danny Stewart has appointed Jordan Pietrus as the club's new Captain for the forthcoming 2016/2017 season.
Pietrus, who has a two year and takes over from Ashley Tait as captain, told the Blaze website: “There are a lot of emotions that ran through my head when Danny asked me if I would be willing to take on the responsibility. But more than anything I feel very humbled and honoured. When I think about the past 12 months it's been a roller coaster ride of highs, lows, times of celebration and times of uncertainty.”

I would like to thank our management group James Pease, Andy Buxton and Mike & Dianne Cowley for giving me the opportunity to come to Coventry last October and then bringing me back this year. I would also like to thank the management team as well as Danny and Ash for trusting and believing in me enough to give this responsibility to me.”
