Paris-Nice Race Route Announced

The 74th Paris-Nice race route has been announced.

The race will have seven stages with one prologue, featuring thirty one climbs over 1290kms of racing.

Starting in Conflans-St-Honorine on March 6th with a 6.1km prologue, the riders will then face a 195km stage from Conde-sur-Vesgre to Vendôme.

Stage three is a bit shorter at 165.5km and is from Cusset to a mountain top finish at Mont-Brouilly, which the riders will take on twice.

The fourth stage is from Julienas to Romans-sur-Isère and is a 193.5km stage with a sprint finish before a 198km fifth stage from St-Paul-Trois-Châteaux to Salon-de-Provence will give the climbers something to get their teeth into with five climbs including Mont Ventoux.

Stage six will see the riders arrive in Nice for a 177km stage from Nice to the mountain top finish at La Madonne d'Utelle, which is a 15,3 km climb with average gradients of 5,7%.

Nice will stage the final 141kms of racing on March 13th with a start and finish of this annual race to the sun.
