Nizzolo Wins Tour De Wallonie Stage Two

Trek Factory Racing's Giacomo Nizzolo won the second stage of the Tour de Wallonie.

Jens Debusschere had won the first stage from Frasnes-Lez Anvaing to Tournai ahead of Gianni Meersman, JJ Lobato and Giacomo Nizzolo, was 2.35 behind Seb Lander, who was the most aggressive rider of the day and Jacobs, who were a second ahead of De Winter and Stassen with fifty kilometres of the second stage from Peronnes - Lez Antoing to Perwez.

With less than twenty kilomoetres left, the days break was over and although there was a couple of attacks, with five kilometres to go, the stage was heading for a bunch sprint.

The teams moved their riders up and Giacomo Nizzolo, who admitted to being disappointed with a fourth place on the opening stage, took the win beating Gianni Meersman of Omega Pharma Quick Step, Silvan Dillier of BMC and Yauheni Hutarovich of AG2R.

GIanni Meersman is the new leader of the race which has three more stages.
