Matti Breschel Takes Tour Of Denmark Second Stage

Saxo Tinkoff's Matti Breschel won the Tour Of Denmark Second Stage.

Four riders in Nielsen, Zardini, Green, Mygind. got away early on the 177.5km stage from Ribe to Sonderborg which featured three laps of 6.7km each.

They were caught after 65kms and ten kilometres later,  Brandle, Verschoot, Quaade, Mortensen & Broge took over taking a thirty second gap at the 100kms mark.

Rolf Nyborg Broge took the Telmore Hill Sprint as the gap steadied at around the minute mark.

Brandle went away with 17kms to go before being joined by Mørkøv Broge and Debusschere.

Into the last lap and the quartet were still away with only an eighteen second lead but the chase was on and they were caught with four to go.

This set up a bunch sprint for the uphill finish and Saxo Tinkoff's Matt Breschel went and won with team mate Mark Kump second and Belkin's Moreno Hofland third.

Magnus Cort Nielsen retains his leader's jersey.
