Levi Leipheimer won the time trial in the US Pro Cycling Time Trial today.

This time trial was ten miles long and started and finished in Vail. With the crowds told to behave themselves after arrests yesterday, the spectators saw Radio Shack's Jason McCartney set the early time to beat with a time of 27 mins and 26 seconds.

Garmin's David Zabriskie or Captain America as he is nicknamed, certainly showed some super powers as he came home in a time of 26 mins and 45 seconds before Clement and then Rafael Infantino smashed that with a time of 25 mins, 51 seconds, three seconds short of the course record and Christian Vandevalde who went even quicker.

Levi Leipheimer put everything he had in and came in at a time of 25 mins 47 seconds, a second quicker than Vandevalde..

That left 38 year George Hincapie in his final year and race leader Tejay van Garderen to go. Hincapie came in at over 26 and a half minutes and the race leader needed a time of 26 mins and 21 seconds but he was seventeen seconds outside that and it was Levi Leipheimer who took the win and the leaders jersey.

Tomorrow's stage four is from Avon to Steamboat Springs
