Coventry Storm have resigned Martin Knuckey to ride for them next season.

Knuckey has been with the Storm since their start in 2013 and was named the Storm's Rider Of The Year last week.

Storm manager Laurence Rogers said to the Coventry Bees website: “Marty really matured as a rider in 2015, and the progress he made was phenomenal.

“I feel moving to Coventry last winter made a huge difference to him, he didn’t have six or seven hours in a van before he arrived at the stadium, and that meant he was fresh and happy before racing.

“He also took the captaincy to heart, he was very responsible and he made sure he was always with the other riders geeing them up before every race.

“I expect 2016 is going to be a very big year for Marty.”

The National League AGM, when regulations and points limits for next season will be finalised, takes place in early December.
