Kenny De Haes Wins The Nokere Koerse

Kenny De Haes of Lotto Belisol won the 69th Nokere Koerse Danilith Classic race in Belgium.

Four British riders in Andy Fenn of Omega Pharma Quick Step, Josh Edmondson, Luke Rowe and Ben Swift, were in this 1.1 European Tour race which was 199.3kms long and from Nose to Nokere

Seventeen riders in Alaphilippe, Keisse, Steegmans, Van der Sande, Vanendert, Puccio, Keizer, Oss, Lampaert, Baugnies, Fraule, Mas, Bideau were able to get away and provide the race's main break

They were never allowed to get more than 1.50 ahead of the peloton and with fourteen kilometres to go, the break was down to only eleven riders.

Inside the final ten kilometres and Gert Steegmans and Lampaert attacked, taking seventeen seconds. But they were caught and Lotto Belisol's Kenny De Haes won the race ahead of Topsport's Tom Van Asbroeck and FDJ's Nacer Bouhanni.
