Team Sky's Kanstantin Siutsou won the Giro Del Trentino Second Stage.

After yesterday's two opening stages which had seen a victory for Maxime Bouet and for Team Sky who powered to victory in the Team Time Trial, stage two started in the Austrian town of Sillian and went across the border into Italy where it finished on the Vetriolo Terme, some 224.8kms later.

After the early escapers had been dealt with, Team Sky took over at the front of the peloton on the final climb.

With nine kilometres to go, Kanstantin Siutsou went on an attack, followed by Stefano Pirazzi (Bardiani-CSF Inox) and Pierre Rolland (Europcar), leaving team-mate Sir Bradley Wiggins to deal with Astana's Vincenzo Nibali and BMC's Cadel Evans.

Pirazzi and Rolland tried to stay with Siutsou but were unable to and the Bulgarian rode to victory in a time of 5.48.07.

Four seconds later, Italian Mauro Santambrogio of the Vini Fantani team came home after getting in front on Nibali and Bradley Wiggins who finished nineteen seconds behind Siutsou.

AG2R's Maxime Bouet leads the race going into the third stage after getting past Josef Cerny on the final climb of the day. Bouet leads Siutsou by three minutes and nineteen seconds. Russian Pavel Kochetkov is third with Sir Bradley Wiggins fourth, some three minutes and forty eight seconds down.
