Coventry Jets American Football Team got their season off to a bad start with an 18-36 defeat at Sheffield Predators.
The Jets were the first on the scoreboard with an early touch down but Sheffield responded straight away to go 7-6 in front.
O'Neill ran in to the end zone just before the end of the first quarter to see the Jets 13-6 down and in the second quarter, the Jets scored to go in at half-time 13-12 down.
Sheffield scored three touchdowns and the extra points plus a safety and although the Jets scored a late touchdown, it was not enough.
