Warwicks resumed on 42-0, some 298 runs behind after being forced to follow on and lost Ian Westwood for 19, three runs into the session.
Laurie Evans could only add 12 before he too was caught behind by Read off the bowling of Ball and when Trott went for 22 and Sam Hain for seven when he was caught by Wood, Warwicks were losing wickets at an alarming rate.
With the score on 141, Tim Ambrose was out for twelve, trapped lbw by Patel who then removed Will Porterfield who had made 61 from 166 balls.
Keith Barker went for eight and Jeetan Patel 28 before Samit Patal removed Chris Wright for a duck and Boyd Rankin for four to see Warwicks all out for 217 in 95.1 overs and a defeat by an innings and 123 runs.
