German Andrei Greipel won the People's Choice Classic race in Adelaide, Australia, today.

The Lotto Bellisol rider took victory in the thirty lap race which had seen Radio Shack's Jens Voigt and UniSa's Zak Dempster out in front for much of the race.

The duo cleaned up the sprint prizes until the final lap when speeds reached 70kmph.

Team Sky's Ian Stannard and Omega Pharma's Andy Fenn moved up to the front to get their team mates to the front.

Lotto with Adam Hansen and Jurgen Roelandts, brought up Greipel who was first over the line in a time of 1.04.00, beating Orica Green Edge's Matt Goss and team mate Greg Henderson on the line.

This was Greipel's third win in the People Choice Classic and a win in The Tour Down Under which starts tomorrow should bring up his 100th victory,
