Lotto-Belisol's Andre Greipel won the opening stage of the Third Tour Of Qatar today.
The German won a sprint at the end of a 156km stage from Al Alam Royal Palace to Wadi Al Hoqay.
With Mark Cavendish, run off the road by Alexander Kristoff with 1200m to go. Greipel took the win ahead of Katusha's Denis Galimzyanov and Garmin's Tyler Farrar in third.
